Yes, the upcoming generation chips will remain AM5 compatible with B650 and X670 boards. We also anticipate an upgrade to the motherboard for these new chips.
So here’s what I’ve completed for my build:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 12-Core @4.7/5.6GHz
GPU: Gigabyte RTX 4080 Super Gaming OC 16GB GDDR6X
Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4
They didn’t have 5 or Elite models

I was thinking about the ROG Strix B650E-E, but it wasn’t available

I really managed to keep this build extremely quiet! In my desktop it’s completely inaudible. I’ve gotten so used to it that when I play games, it sounds like a jet engine to me lol.

I had to say building this was tough—case plus anti-vibration fans, and I’ve never used a non-stock cooler before. Connecting everything was a challenge. Also, the issue with Windows on an old SSD. But overall, I’m really happy now!
