Need guidance on a tough situation.
You're considering some options for your Lenovo G510. Upgrading HDD/RAM might help, but it's uncertain if it will meet your needs by 2025. Alternatively, you could wait until you have enough money to buy a device with Windows 11. Which path do you think is better for you?
Win11 isn't a brand-new operating system. I don't need to be concerned about installing it. It's merely an update for Windows 10. Using Win11 won't improve your computer's performance.
Just skip Windows 11 for now.
Reasons:
1) Windows 11 is merely "released" and will likely undergo numerous changes in the next few months. Any fixes you manage to implement might fail later.
2) As an older machine, the issues mentioned above are probably more severe.
3) It seems unlikely you'll achieve any performance gains or value for the time and money invested in the previous Lenovo model.
In the long term, save your resources and focus on acquiring a new laptop or computer.
Any activity on or with the device is essentially testing ground—experiment if that suits you.
Avoid using it for actual work, studies, or intense gaming.
