Hi! I’m looking for a way to rename your image files automatically using a simple pattern like Holiday_1.jpg, Holiday_2.jpg, etc. You have several files from different sources and want to avoid changing them manually. I’m using Windows 8.1 x64 and prefer free software options.

You're asking about a method to rename files automatically. It seems you're looking for ways to batch rename files on Windows, possibly using built-in tools or a script. The description mentions ease of use and notes compatibility with older versions like Windows 7. You also consider alternatives like writing a short Java program.

Great news! I wasn't aware of this, but it could have really helped me save a lot of time. Thanks!

We can also include a third-party tool named Bulk Renaming Utility. It offers many features and is very convenient. Plus, it’s portable—just unzip the file and you’re good to go. No installation required.
