It won’t cost a lot, actually. Possibly around 200 USD at most.
It's more of a fix than an upgrade. You're looking for a smoother gameplay without aiming for top-tier hardware. Can your CPU work well with the HD 7790 graphics card?
It's likely to come soon, but the budget is very limited right now. I'm just trying to find a solution other than overspending.
The 3770k market seems unusual. It’s priced higher than a 4790k even when used. I’d consider a 3750k used soon. They handle overclocking nicely and you can find one for 100 to 140 dollars in the US. That should help eliminate bottleneck problems, especially if you’ve already boosted it.
Thanks for letting me know. I could consider selling the old CPU and use the money to buy something better.
What kind of item are you searching for? I need to know if it's available for less than $300 used. Are you in the correct location?
It's quite impressive for you, though in my country used CPUs aren't commonly sold separately. That limits options and often leads people to buy new ones. Right now it's hard for me too. What bothers me most is that this GPU is only three months old.
That's not what bottleneck really means when you have a Pentium and a Titan X, but downgrading to an RX 460 won't necessarily improve your experience—the performance drops will still be noticeable. It depends on your location and the time you shop. You should stay alert and test different platforms. Maybe by then, when Zen is released, people will sell their high-end GPUs. Still, even an i5 would be a significant upgrade.
