Hey there! I recently purchased a brand-new PC, but it hasn’t been working quite like I expected. I’m trying to figure out why and how to improve things. Some people said I’d be able to run any game smoothly at top settings without issues, calling it a major upgrade. But from my side, I’ve been quite disappointed.
I usually don’t play games at the highest settings, and I often lower some options that aren’t really needed. Still, seeing how the computer handles maximum settings for certain titles was surprising. I’m facing problems like low frames, stutters, and crashes in almost every game—even when I set it to medium. Usually prebuilds get hot then slow down. Your temperatures are normal? HWinfo64 helps verify if your CPU throttles and readings are correct. You can view the BIOS settings. Edited January 17, 2024 by leclod

Intel Boost is active. When monitoring temperatures, focus on typical ranges—highs that suggest overheating. Generally, if temps consistently exceed safe limits, it may indicate issues needing attention. For gaming, your system stays cool most of the time, but occasional spikes are normal.
A noticeable sign of overheating would be excessive noise from your PC, even if it's usually quiet. Checking the temperatures recorded with the nvidia performance overlay can help determine if they exceed safe levels.
