Hey, I built a new PC and running games has become a bit of an issue. I mostly play with mouse and keyboard, but since I used a controller on my PS4, it worked fine there. Now on this new setup, the controller isn’t connecting properly.

In games like GTA, when you’re moving forward, the controller disconnects or stops working. Even though no input is being sent, the character keeps going forward because the last input was recorded. It’s odd that when plugged in, the controller lights up blue, but when connected to a game it switches to green and stays green—so it doesn’t disconnect at all.

I’ve tried reconnecting the controller, changing settings in Steam, unplugging and replugging the extender, turning the PC off and on again, and checking for any BIOS updates or firmware issues. The specs look good (i7-13700K, 1TB SSD, etc.), but I’m still not getting a stable setup. Any suggestions would be great!

It's a PS4 controller, though the last PC I owned worked perfectly. My friend who keeps using their controller hasn't reported any issues, so I assumed it wouldn't affect me.

It might be worth checking for updates, possibly due to compatibility concerns. Otherwise, I’m uncertain about the exact cause.
