Need assistance with your new motherboard?
To grasp precisely why I require a new motherboard, I must share my HP Envy experience. It runs a solid CPU that I prefer to retain, so no upgrade is necessary for me. (i7 10700). The board type is exclusive, and after reviewing my CPU and GPU temperatures during recent gaming sessions, I was dissatisfied with the results. It’s clear that the stock cooler paired with HP’s case design isn’t providing adequate cooling, leading to this overheating issue. I plan to upgrade the RAM as well—16GB suffices but I need more headroom for tabs, multiple programs, and in-game performance.
I’m unfamiliar with Intel CPUs, so assistance in choosing a suitable chipset is essential. I won’t be pushing overclocks but will look for options offering strong NVMe support (at least two slots), ample Type A USB ports, built-in WiFi, and addressable fan headers. Concerning the 10th generation chipsets, I’m uncertain if they’re still viable for these requirements.
For the build, a case, RAM, and power supply will also be part of this purchase. I’m seeking reasonably priced options under $200 USD. RGB lighting on the board isn’t necessary. Any size except mini ITX works for me. Thank you all for your help!
