i used a technicolour v2 tg something as a bridge, but it didn’t work. i wasn’t sure how to adjust the settings—did i need to set a static lease on an ip or did i have credentials in the pppoe section of the modem before switching it to bridge mode? the issue was i didn’t remember the pppoe password. my setup includes a dell optiplex 745 with a pentium 4, two gigabit ethernet cards, a gt710, and 8gb ram (plus built-in ethernet).
Review your ISP's site for guidance. After switching the modem to bridge mode, you may have removed the settings. If so, check the WAN settings on the device. Alternatively, contact your ISP directly for assistance.
