Hello! I appreciate your support. If you could kindly assist the team or friends, I’d be grateful. I have a Gigabyte GA-AX370M DS3H (previously with RYZEN 5 1600). I’m planning to install an AMD Athlon 3000 G APU and want to see if it works on my motherboard. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all!

The BIOS must match the correct CPU version to ensure proper operation. You can view available options on Gigabyte's website for this motherboard. https://www.gigabyte.com/Ajax/SupportFun...Value=6498 Updating the BIOS requires a compatible CPU first. Edited May 14, 2022 by Fasauceome

The necessary BIOS version isn't specified in your message. Please check your system documentation or manufacturer guidelines for the correct requirements. If you lack an updated desktop BIOS, consider using a compatible BIOS version from a supported source.

The motherboard accommodates it, though a BIOS update might be necessary for proper functionality. The initial BIOS version for the 3000G was F40, launched in June 2019. If the original owner hasn’t updated since then, you should be fine. Otherwise, obtain a compatible CPU—likely a Ryzen 1000 series—and consider updating it twice: first to F31, then to F40, to gain access to the on-board Q-Flash tool for BIOS updates without needing a Windows boot.

From my understanding, the BIOS version "F40" is necessary. If you haven’t purchased this motherboard recently, it likely lacks this BIOS and may only have an older one unless you upgraded it earlier.
