I'm planning to assemble a new PC using the Ryzen 7 3700X once Zen 3 is released and prices drop slightly. I've noticed many discussions on YouTube and elsewhere about faulty Gigabyte motherboards or issues with their functionality. I'm leaning toward the Aorus B550 Elite (rev. 1.0) which costs €137. There are also other choices like the Asus TUF Gaming B550-PLUS at €141, MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk at €163, and I’m unsure if this information is essential. For RAM, I’m considering Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB DDR4-3600MHz. The PSU should be an 11 600W unit with 250GB NVMe SSD and 970 EVO Plus. Which motherboard should I pick? I’d prefer the more affordable Aorus Elite to save some money, and I’d appreciate any other recommendations you have. Thanks in advance.

Any option works. Tomahawk is the choice but it's quite excessive for Ryzen.

Honestly, for overclocking it's better to go with the ASUS TUF and invest around 30 euros in a CPU cooler. The stock cooler doesn't handle much overclocking well.

It's preferable to boost performance on a tier A plus a good cooler rather than using a tier S with the standard cooler.

I prefer not to push overclock much. I’ll start at 4.2GHz if it stays above 75°C. If not, I’ll try 4.0GHz with a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO for €35 or Be Quiet Pure Rock 2 Black for €36 plus a $5 Arctic MX-4 2019 Edition 4gr. Total would be around €40. Thanks a lot for the help. Now I just wait for prices to drop about 2-3 weeks after Zen 3 releases, right? Currently the R7 2700x is €170 here; I think the 3700x might fall to €190-€200 soon.
