I purchased a GIGABYTE GA-AB359-Gaming 3 but it doesn’t display anything on the screen. I’m unsure if I can upgrade the BIOS of my GIGABYTE GA-AB350-Gaming 3 without using an older Ryzen 5 2600 and don’t know what steps to take.

Did you purchase the motherboard or opt for a new one? You can obtain a boot kit from AMD with proof of purchase, or check nearby PC stores or friends who might have a first-generation Ryzen CPU available.

I purchased it last year and attempted the boot kit, but it requires a Gen 3 processor.

I don't have a physical board to check, but I can help you figure out what the original CPU might have been if you provide more details about the board's specifications or any components listed.

It was purchased brand new on Amazon, and the sole processor it had was the Ryzen 5 2600.

Find a socket AM4 chip that isn't a third-gen Ryzen model. This specific card doesn't allow BIOS Flashback, so it won't let you upgrade the BIOS with a Ryzen 3xxx. You might need someone with an older AM4 CPU to assist or check local repair shops and hardware stores for BIOS updates. Make sure the BIOS version is at least F20 (released in February 2018) to support the Ryzen 2600.

I still have the Ryzen 5 2600, I’m okay with that.

You've been using it for more than a year, so updating the BIOS is necessary to maintain compatibility and security.
