Hey there! It's been a while since my nearly 4-year-old PC stopped working, at least the mainboard. It had those solid specs: ASUS Z170 S with SABERTOOTH, Intel i5 6600K, AVEXIR CORE, 8GB RAM, GTX 1070, and a V650 cooler. Now that the motherboard is gone and I can't find a good replacement nearby, I'm considering switching to Ryzen. I'm looking into the Ryzen 5 3600 with MSI B450, Tomahawk MAX, or ASUS Strix B450. I'm curious about the Asus board since the reviews aren't great, but it uses Realtek ALC1220 instead of MSI's ALC892. It also has Intel Gigabit LAN, and honestly, the RGB lighting is pretty cool!
I believe the Asus option offers a better value, though VRM and other components are similar as shown here. Regarding RAM, you don’t have to worry about RGB—cheaper or quicker options are available without it.
That CPU is always reliable, and the B450 board is top-notch. RGB PRO always brings a smile.
The hardware is solid; the MSI offers better value compared to the B450 F-Gaming. Its improved VRM allows for future upgrades like a 3800X on the Tomahawk and provides better stability during heavy CPU usage.
No worries, was weird though. I would recommend this 3600MHz CL16 memory kit (better and cheaper too!): PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price Memory G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory $79.98 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $79.98 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-11-11 11:49 EST-0500
It's not like that... unfortunately, just the Max is assured to have the right bios.
