Need assistance with your girlfriend's computer? Let me know what the issue is and I’ll help!
My girlfriend just got her first gaming computer and I need to know if we've got to send it back or not. Hi I just made this account because I cannot find any reference online about this issue existing, maybe I'm dumb but I've been looking for a few days. We got her computer from NZXT and while setting it up the HDMI signal from her graphics card was distorted, it displayed when plugged into the mother board, and all the setting I checked said it was running fine. So I brought over my monitor and it was working fine, no issues at all while plugged into the graphics card. Back plugged into the TV and it's still corrupted and somehow retaining the last image that was on the TV but all screwed up. So a lot of trouble shooting later, right angle adapter to put less stress on the port, it looked like it might have not been going in flush with bulky cables, trying to disable the CPU graphics to make the computer use the GPU, that worked for a little great, but the tv would crash again. I think it could be an issue with the tv, when I set up the HDMI with the tv, using their inbuilt calibrator, it works for a little and then crashes again, but the speakers are still making sound like only the image is froze. Could it be that my monitor when I tried it was set to 1080p, so it can only output 1080 not the 4k of her tv? Or maybe is the HDMI cable we're using not good for 4k? I don't know and Im tired of googling and I hope some real people can help, sorry it's so long, she just wants to play Minecraft with me and if I don't she's threatening to join the military again lol. Sorry if it's something really simple or I'm dumb, I just want some help
Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't sure how to explain the issue—I should have checked the pinned comments. Sorry for the rude comment, I wish I could remove that post. I'm leaving today and will get a new cable.
