Need assistance with your garden office?
Good evening, new forum member and floatplane fan here. This is my first post, though. I'm curious if anyone has ideas for two similar setups. First, my mom is setting up a garden office but doesn't want to store her PC there for security and prefers not to use laptops. Should the PC stay in the main house while the keyboard, mouse, and display remain in the garden office? It's within Wi-Fi range, but running a physical cable would be impractical for a 30-meter run. It doesn't need high resolution or frame rate—just needs to function. Second, the same applies in a garden bar. He wants a triple monitor gaming setup for his racing sim. The cable run would likely be around 20-30 meters, assuming any feasible option exists. He also has a wired Ethernet connection available nearby. Thanks ahead of time!
You can connect to another PC remotely using RDP. A budget PC that works as a remote desktop client is suitable. 2. You won’t have a great gaming setup, especially with three monitors over IP, so consider HDMI over Cat6. This won’t support three monitors either—either add more cables or relocate the PC.
