Hello Tech friends, I'm having trouble with my PC when playing games. The game either opens very slowly or crashes with the error "this game is not responding." This started after installing a mod on one of the games—it worked perfectly before. But now, if I disconnect my controller, it freezes completely. It happens even though my friend uses the same game and it didn’t crash before. When I try to reopen it, it freezes again and crashes. Sometimes it shows a white screen before crashing, other times it goes straight to black but still crashes. If I’m lucky, it might load but takes a long time to reach the main screen.

I noticed that resetting the Wi-Fi for a short while fixes things, but then it crashes right away again. I think this is happening because of a Wi-Fi reset, not my computer. It’s a high-end machine, and I’ve followed all the YouTube tutorials, but nothing works. Can someone help me fix this?

The game you're playing, the devices present, and the timing of the problem are unclear. Could you provide those details?

I was playing with the seamless Co-op version in Elden Ring, it occurred roughly three days back and I've already restored my PC.

You mentioned restarting your PC and removed the mod. Did it happen in other games as well? Also, remember to ask someone you talk to for a confirmation, so they can let you know they received the message.

I intended to say I restarted my PC too. I also removed the mod and reinstalled Steam, using the game files I had before. It seems this issue is affecting most of my games.
