The noise level is excessive and the heat is intense. I really need thermal paste, but I'm curious if upgrading could help manage the temperatures better.

I enjoy the Arctic freezer esports 34 duo. It doesn't cost much and offers excellent cooling performance.

I also had a 4690k, and added an Enermax T40. It reached about 65°C maximum, with boost up to 4.1GHz. Used MX-4 thermal paste.

It seems like two fans are connected—likely one for intake and one for exhaust. As for noise, it depends on how they’re installed and their quality.

It depends on how hard you push it. It’s not very loud unless you crank it up significantly. In my setup (R5, 1400 MHz, 3.9GHz), I kept it at the standard level and didn’t notice much sound.
