Hi, I shared this situation a few weeks back and still face difficulties finding assistance. To recap: Last day my computer couldn’t detect any network. I checked the network and sharing center, Ethernet status showed proper speed, and the cable worked when plugged in. I reset the router, updated drivers, flushed DNS, and even tried disabling the firewall, but nothing changed. I purchased a PCIe Ethernet card and a USB Wi-Fi card to test, but results remained the same. When running troubleshooter it shows “your computer appears to be correctly configured but mincrosoft.com is not responding.” I’ve contacted my internet provider’s support, who only reset the internet name and password. This issue is really frustrating—I’m almost giving up trying to fix it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Review the BIOS for network configurations and ensure it's up to date. The separate PCIe card should have addressed the problem. It doesn't make sense to keep facing this issue now. Where do you measure the speed? Could you share some screenshots and system details?

I determined the speed from the network status under properties. I can observe the connection or at least identify what it is expected to be (1000/1000 Mbps). I’m uncertain about what to check in the bios or how to update without an internet connection IMG_7732.HEIC.

You would update the system by downloading the BIOS files on another machine and transferring them via flash drive. Clearing the BIOS might also resolve the issue. I’m not entirely confident, but this seems unusual. These network problems are rare, and getting assistance on the LLT forums is tough since they’re usually isolated cases. It’s hard to help without being physically present at the computer.
