Just got a new GPU installed (gigabyte gtx 3090) and 16 more gigs of ddr4 RAM 3200 speed. Maybe once or twice a day, the picture on my monitors freeze, the fans on my gpu stop spinning and then after about 3 minutes my PC restarts. There is a buzzing coming from my PC by that was happening with my old gpu (1080), That's why I upgraded, but I wasn't experiencing crashes then. Im lost on what the issue could be and I have no Idea where the noise is coming from. Also higher performance AAA games cause my PC to reboot after about an hour of playing. GPU temps dont get higher than 85c. CPU temps are cool as well. My specs are Apevia 800W PSU 6 years old Cooler master AIO Intel i9 10850k OCPC X3Treme Aura RGB DDR4 16GB Kit (2X8GB) x2 Samsung 980 pro m.2 2tb WD 2tb HDD asus prime z590-a MB
I found some questionable information online about this power supply, so I'm leaning toward it being unreliable. I'll go with my guess if it came after upgrading to a more demanding GPU.
It lasted six years, which is fine for a cheaply made power supply. The best part about the brand is its affordability, but to achieve such a low cost they sacrificed quality and used inexpensive bulk components. Now you have a solid PC with a decent graphics card—consider getting a reliable 850W PSU from Corsair and enjoy a ten-year warranty.
