Hello everyone, I recently purchased The Witcher 3 and enjoyed playing until someone pointed out there are many spiders in the game. This surprised me because I have arachnophobia (fear of spiders). It’s something I usually keep to myself, so please treat this seriously. I recently came across a mod that alters the look of spiders (https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/...tab=images). I have a few questions about it. If anyone uses this mod: What makes the main files different from others when multiple files are involved? And also: Does this modify the appearance of all spider-like creatures in the game? There isn’t enough information to be sure. Additionally, I’d like to know if there’s any way to remove these spider-like monsters from the game—not just the spiders but any similar-looking creatures. If that option isn’t available, what tips do you have for avoiding them? Thanks!
It might be better to skip the game altogether. It seems like there aren't many spiders-like monsters around, and since the mod offers four out of five different looks, I think it's likely they're altering the spider-themed versions. Plus, they don't actually resemble spiders at all—they only have six legs. Contact the mod directly about these questions, since they created the mod and understand which features were taken away and which weren't.
There aren't spiders, only a few creatures that look similar but are quite different... I don’t have any phobias, so I’m not sure how much this affects someone’s life. Still, I think it makes sense to say that if it feels too much, just stop playing the game—it’s probably not for you.
