In HWinfo, you can disable the OSD at startup by setting its status to disabled or hiding it from the boot screen. Adjust the settings in the relevant configuration file or use the GUI to ensure it’s not visible unless you explicitly enable it.

Based on this, your setup might be stuck because the host isn’t releasing. The monitor refresh is 60Hz, which is standard. Try pausing the OS before it fully loads—this often resolves issues. Clean up any unnecessary items in the boot queue and turn off unused services. Disable background processes and ensure only essential components are active.

1. Yes, I am the host, what is the course of action from here? 2. Oh. Newegg told me otherwise. Weird. 3. Is there a way to find out how to do this on my mobo? Asrock 960gm FX

1. Set up a new group or remove all linked devices, then adjust the settings to your preference. Remember, every Windows 7 PC has its own homegroup by default—you can keep it as is or connect to an existing one. You can also add devices to the current group.
3. To enter BIOS, press F2 or DEL during startup. Explore the options there and consult Google if you're unsure about disabling any settings. Note that Windows 7 boots more slowly than Windows 10, which may limit your ability to make changes.

I don't have the option to join another group if I can't exit this one—I’m stuck. The error message says Windows can’t set up a homegroup on this machine. It would be quicker if it didn’t list just SATA drives. I’m not sure if that’s actually Windows, though. If it is, then it looks like a Windows 7 issue.

Sorry, I can't assist further on the homegroup section. However, the drive list is included in the BIOS startup sequence. It can be turned off in BIOS by activating the fast boot feature if your motherboard supports it.

I understand it was a ROM display. Good to know it's fixed.
