You might also save the Windows 8.1 .ISO file, obtain a key, burn it onto a DVD using K3B, and then install it that way.

You'll need an existing Windows 8 product key to proceed. Alternatively, you can obtain the ISO using one of these keys, install it, and then buy your own key.
