I updated my motherboard and CPU to Xeon 1230v2 and B75M-D3H. I reset my Windows PC back to factory settings. Now I'm stuck in an endless loop and can't set up my Windows 8 account (personalization email issue). I see a blue screen saying there are problems with Sad Face. If you search it, it mentions Asio.sys. Since I don’t have the installation disk, I can’t just change my BIOS to load from CD. Anyone know how to fix this or maybe reset Windows from BIOS? I’m not able to run safe mode or any of the other nine options that the failed restart warning shows. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Turn off driver verification. Access the Search programs and files section, type "verifier" and press Enter. Remove any saved configurations and complete the process. Hope this resolves the issue. P.S. This might not be the best forum for posting—software or OS discussions could be more appropriate.

I don’t possess search tools. What I can do is accept your bios.

Your bio doesn’t list a restart window for Windows 8. That feature isn’t available in the current version.

He might not have Windows 7, right? You connect your hard drive to another machine, right-click inside your computer, reformat it, erase everything, and then reinstall Windows 8.

You're asking about the absence of a Windows 8 disk and how you initially set it up. It seems you want clarification on that process.

Proceed without going through the account process if possible.

I think the reason could be the updated MB. Please confirm if that's correct, and I'll check whether you need a fresh Windows license.
