I recently installed a new PC with Wi-Fi antennas and an MSI Z790-A WiFi board. No networks appear on the system and there’s no Ethernet port available in my room. I need to obtain drivers for Wi-Fi but don’t know how to copy the 'inf' files onto a USB drive. I’m unsure where to begin, except for some online guides from OOBE/passnro that say no files were found, causing the internet connection to keep failing and restarting. I’m also not sure how to reset the CMOS on the motherboard. This is really frustrating—I feel like I’m not cut out for this, thanks. Please help me, I’m trying but it’s too much.

Download the motherboard drivers from another machine, save them to a USB thumb drive, and insert the drive into the motherboard. Make sure to include all files so you can access the setup application to install the drivers.

Check the MSI website for your motherboard model. I found the correct Wi-Fi drivers there after searching "MSI Z790-A WiFi drivers" on Google. Make sure you're using the right version for your board. Look for LAN drivers as well, and you'll see the Wi-Fi options there. Save all the files to a USB drive and install them on your computer. This should fix the issue. If not, it might be related to your router not detecting the new connection.

I just set up the drivers by accidentally stopping the internet service during installation. I went to the driver manager, used my USB stick, and downloaded the drivers from MSI’s website. Microsoft seems unreliable—its support site is really poor.

Connect your PC to the Ethernet port on your router during installation. The drivers will automatically install, allowing you to link.
