I don't have a direct way to revisit the anniversary update, but you can check your previous interactions or settings for access options.

Power on the system (the name isn’t important, just remember). Hold down the power button until the machine shuts down completely. Then release it and press the old power button before trying to restart normally. After that, the blue screen should appear, and you can navigate through advanced options to revert to a previous build.

I just reinstalled everything again, but I need the anniversary update from around 2016.

I need to understand this. Given how many viruses are circulating, it seems surprising that Windows remains functional compared to other systems. Even with known issues, it’s safer than having all your data restricted.

I used to have stable FPS but now I'm experiencing drops. I've tried almost everything, so I'm hoping this helps.

It’s necessary to upgrade. To go that far, you’ll need an ISO file and install Windows from the ground up. I don’t advise doing this; just keep your drivers updated and adjust your settings slightly.

Occasionally newer software versions can cause compatibility issues with certain games, particularly older titles. Problems typically resolve after a few driver updates. Sharing reports in the relevant forums is beneficial. In the meantime, revert to older drivers or attempt to use the most recent beta releases to determine if the issue is fixed. It's wise to install only the necessary graphics and audio drivers, avoiding additional packages like Nvidia 3D Vision or GeForce Experience. Make sure your motherboard chipset drivers are also up to date, then restart your system after installation.
