Hello, welcome to the forum! You're all set to start your new build. Before swapping your old motherboard, make sure you check compatibility and update any drivers. For transferring Windows, you'll need to back up your data first. Regarding using your old board for your sister's PC, it depends on the motherboard model—check if it supports her intended components. Good luck!

The x570 motherboard is compatible with your CPU using the BIOS included with it. You can likely replace the board without major issues. Ensure you install the latest AMD chipset drivers and refresh any existing ones. The chipset drivers are now consolidated, meaning a single download covers all current chipsets—so your existing setup should work, though updating drivers is recommended for peace of mind. Regarding Windows, if the license was linked to specific hardware components, changes might require re-entering or verifying your license. In the worst case, you may need to purchase a new Windows license for $10–35. It makes sense to upgrade to a compatible processor, RAM, SSD, and possibly a GPU if needed, along with a suitable case and power supply.

Check the CPU support details carefully. It seems updating drivers is recommended either before or after switching the MOBO, depending on your needs. Many users still suggest checking the chipset drivers to ensure compatibility with the latest updates.
