Hello, I'm looking into upgrading for a Windows 10 installation. Right now I have: Mobo: Asus H81m-e CPU: i5-4440 RAM: 4GB (planning to go to 16GB Kingston DDR3) GPU: GT 730 (upgrading to GTX 1050 Ti) HDD: 1TB WD Blue Power Supply: generic PSU but aiming for Seasonic or Corsair CV550. My concern is whether my BIOS version (09/13/13 ver:05.05) needs flashing before updating to Windows 10. Please advise!

You don’t require an updated BIOS for Windows 10. I’ll aim to secure an SSD for a significant performance improvement.

The update process is entirely separate—just boot up Windows 10 via USB and install it. Moving to a new HDD could be beneficial.

I placed an order for a Kingston A400 240GB SSD and it’s being shipped. I’ll install Windows 10 straight onto the SSD now. Thanks!

The RAM should be installed without flashing your BIOS if you're installing Windows 10.

I'll attempt to set up Windows 10 once the SSD is delivered.
