Yep. Granted my sample size was 1 and 1 and they'll always be outliers but from what i can see it's pretty consistent. So if you're inclined to try and get the best from your chip and maximise performance the best bet would be the 3600X imo. Example from HWBOT, results from R15 submissions with air coolers for both chips.
The 3600x features a 200mhz higher base clock and a 100mhz boost clock, which can be adjusted manually. This model offers improved binned silicon compared to the 3600. While the 3600/3600x share the poorest silicon quality among Zen2 chips, it remains largely unnoticeable. I prefer my 240mm or larger AIO units. The Noctua fan community highlights better cooling performance. You can lower the AIO fans significantly and achieve a quiet 60°C operation, delivering genuine silence. An AIO setup feels less impressive when contrasted with the 120mm and bigger fans.
