The paste has reached a typical age of three years or more before concerns arise. Is the fan operating correctly?

A brand new fan just one day old is rotating at 4500 rpm during gameplay.

Desktops tend to run cooler overall. The ideal temperature is around 90 degrees, though laptops usually max out near 80°C before throttling starts. This is likely the main issue, but I’m not sure how to fix it. Reapplying paste might help, but if you say you cleaned it thoroughly already, that could be the cause.

Did the temperature rise before applying the new paste? If not, the paste likely wasn’t the cause. If the issue appeared afterward, you may need to restart it. If the paste didn’t seem effective, at least you’ve narrowed down the possible reasons. Could be a power supply problem, a bad battery, or an unusual motherboard fault.
