I encountered an unusual issue. I bought my fiancé a set of pink and black cable extensions for Christmas, and everything worked fine before installation. After setting it up, the CPU debug light appeared. Replacing the original cables didn’t fix it. Through some troubleshooting, I ended up booting with just one stick in slot A2. Once I added her second stick to slot B2, no boot occurred and the DRAM debug light lit. Both sticks boot individually in slots A1 and A2, but neither works in B1 or B2. My suspicion is that the slots might be dead. How can I confirm this? What steps should I take to diagnose further? I’m really confused. Even after removing two RAM sticks from my build, the same problems persisted. I’m considering sending the board back for replacement because my warranty period has ended. Ryzen 7 3700x with stock cooler GTX 1660 Ti Corsair Vengeance 2x8 at 3000mhz, EVGA 600W PSU (maybe 550), Thermaltake PSU extension cables, 250GB SSD, 500GB NVMe.
