Need assistance with the duel boot putty?
You can't connect via SSH to Linux while Windows is running unless you're using a setup like OpenVZ that allows both OSes simultaneously.
i prefer not to run virtual environments. I've been reading about it, but it doesn't seem to fit what i'm looking for right now. I think there might be a way, but it's not straightforward. Perhaps trying to run both linux and windows together using tools like putty could work. It would let them share resources and only switch between them when needed. This sounds a bit magical, doesn't it?
You can't reach the drive if it's not set up properly. You can view the space if configured right, but you can't connect to a system that's not running. For some fun, try XenClient—it lets you run Linux and Windows at the same time. However, in a dual-boot setup, you can't SSH into the Linux client from the Windows client because Linux won't be active when Windows is in use.
