Need assistance with the CPU cooler installation? Let me know what's happening!
The problem is setting up the cooler on my B550 Prime Plus motherboard. I managed to get two pins to work and they’re placed correctly, but the remaining two don’t fit properly—can’t push them down or even try a diagonal fit. If anyone can help fix this installation issue, I’d really appreciate it!
Referring to the pins on the motherboard near the CPU socket. Using Intel mounting tabs won't work.
Someone named @IkeaGnome mentioned that the cooler features a two-point hold-down system paired with the screws on the AM4 board. It seems you might be mixing things up—perhaps you're attempting to install it without the brackets or using different mounting tools. Did you accidentally take off the brackets from your motherboard since your previous cooler didn’t require them, and then left them out? Always check the manual before proceeding.
I noticed you're referring to the B560 Prime Plus, the Intel motherboard. It seems like only two pins are being pushed in while the other two aren't.
Check the other section as well. The cooler should stay away from the heatsink above the socket—it shouldn’t touch it at all. The image makes it a bit unclear.
Additionally, it isn't reaching the top of the heatsink past the socket.
