Hello,
I have a desktop PC with a Core i5 4440 and 16GB RAM. The BIOS is AMI 2.15.1236, and Windows 10 is preinstalled. I need to remove Windows and install Linux CNC. In the BIOS boot options, only the hard disk and the Windows Boot Manager are available. It seems I can only enable or disable both. How can I boot from a USB DVD player using the ISO image? I made some changes in the BIOS, but I can't find a boot menu for the USB device. I tried several ISO disks with dban and Diskeraser, but without a disk it's not possible to boot. Thank you for your help.

Your PC needs a feature to let you pick a boot device manually after startup. Are you implying the USB DVD isn't appearing in the selection options? Do you possess a USB flash drive running a bootable Linux distribution?

From the BIOS, navigate to Settings ➜ Advanced ➜ Windows OS Configuration ➜ Secure Boot.
Select “Secure Boot Support” and choose the “Disabled” setting. This will turn off secure boot in American Megatrends BIOS.
Save and restart; upon rebooting, you should see additional options available, allowing you to adjust the boot order. This process might also be accessible using the F12 key during startup (likely).
