I upgraded to the newest version 4.10 to allow resizable BAR on my 3080. The power cycle is back, and I've prepared the Asrock Support in case you need assistance. Any useful information will be shared here.
Asrock support really assisted me a lot! I was worried about having little hope. They’ve sent me another Bios version. Version 4.18. The issue causing the Power Cycle is linked to an option, which can now be turned off. No power cycle needed at my location.
Hello everyone, I encountered the same issue with BIOS version 4.00 plus 4.10. I performed a full power cycle during the POST stage, and everything functioned normally until version 3.80. I reached out to ASRock Support, just like Pred did, and they offered a newer BIOS version 4.30. They mentioned an updated option in the Advanced Tab that supports NVME SSDs, and setting it to Disabled fixes the double power cycling problem.
Checked the official site and confirmed 4.30 is listed. Planning to purchase it next.
I just verified around 7 pm Central that turning off "ForceM2_3 for NVME SSD" to "Disabled" fixes the double powering issue. Now it doesn’t matter whether the breaker is closed on the back of my Seasonic tx-850 Titanium PSU or open, as long as it stays on for at least 30 seconds until the power and reset buttons on my Asrock x570 Taichi MMO light up. Then I reset the breaker back to closed and turned it on again—now everything functions properly. Pred was April 9th, 2021. Thanks a lot! I’ve been using the 5900x CPU with this combo for months and always questioned why it would shut down and then restart. Cheers.
