Yesterday I tested the setup with a 5800x paired to an X570 Aorus Elite. The voltage stayed around 1.5V and averaged 1.4V even under different loads or multi-threaded tasks. I tried PBO with a negative curve but it didn’t work. Any suggestions?

It’s fine, mine will hit 1.535-1.545. But I am getting the full +200. You can update to the newest AGESA which should cripple your 5800 enough for you to control your temps.

AMD suppliers usually provide greater voltages when they ship products compared to the genuine stock levels specified by AMD. This article references data suggesting a safe upper limit of 1.35 volts for Ryzen models.

1.35v should stay under that limit during heavy use. Running at such high speeds demands significant cooling, and even with some control, managing the heat remains challenging. These devices often consume more power than indicated, which can be surprising when you're only a few degrees below their maximum rating. It's odd to see OTP warnings even when temperatures are 10-15°C lower than the spec. This might feel a bit unsettling. If you have the budget, go all in and see what they’re capable of—but if money is tight, proceed with caution.
