You're planning to set up macOS on your Dell Latitude 3490. Here are your thoughts clarified:

1) Booting into macOS should be straightforward, especially with an Intel 7th/8th gen processor. Integrated graphics might affect performance but not necessarily prevent booting.
2) Dual booting is possible—Windows can run alongside macOS without needing to replace your Windows installation. Just ensure both OSes are properly partitioned.
3) Using the classic Clover method or OpenCore Vanilla depends on your preference and technical comfort. Both have their pros and cons.
4) If your Wi-Fi card isn’t recognized by macOS, it might also fail with Windows. Check compatibility and consider updating drivers.

Check the Tonymac86x forum for more guidance. I can only address three out of four questions. 2) You can dual boot, but usually you need a fresh Windows install after setting up Mac OS; this can cause problems. I know it's a laptop, but I always suggest using two drives when dual booting on a hackintosh. 3) I used Clover, but I haven't tried the OpenCore method. 4) It will still function perfectly in Windows.

Installers should function properly when configured correctly. The approach you choose impacts ease of setup, and I’ve found Clover simplifies the process more than standard methods.
