Hey everyone, I have a 500GB HDD and I need to back up my Windows 10 Home 64-bit UEFI system on my Dell Inspiron 15 5547. I’m looking for a free recovery tool that can perform a full restore—including all files and the OS. I own a SanDisk Ultra II 480GB SSD in my laptop, but it doesn’t come with cloning software. I plan to clone the HDD first, then transfer everything back to the SSD. After that, I’ll try Hackintosh on this machine. If it fails or feels unstable, I’d appreciate a simple solution to restore everything from the HDD to the SSD.
I’m also considering using an SD card for cloning and hope it’s worth the effort since I’m a student. Microsoft Office was frustrating, but SD43 offered it free—so that’s fine for me right now. I need something affordable because I want to prove my Dell i7 is better than some MacBooks I’ve seen. Many kids boast about their Macs, and I’m trying to show they’re not always the best. If anyone can help with this setup, it would really help!
