Hi Everyone,
At first I believed a 120GB SSD would suffice for Windows. Turns out it wasn’t enough. I spent time expanding my C-Drive by creating a partition from my 2TB D-Drive, but had to switch the D-Drive to the E-Drive and allocate the unallocated space as the D-Drive. This allowed me to merge the C-Drive with the D-Drive. The main challenge was making sure my PC accepted the D-Drive change to the E-Drive. If anyone has advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. Sorry if this wasn’t clear.

Your Windows setup is stored on the C drive, which uses a 120GB SSD, and you're looking to free up space by utilizing a larger 2TB HDD. Unfortunately, you can't resize partitions across different drives.

Without relying on Storage Spaces, merging drives isn't possible by combining them directly. Even with Storage Spaces, you'd likely have to wipe the data before linking two drives together.

They shouldn't be merged together like that. It's better to transfer your libraries to the second drive. Windows handles it quite smoothly. For games, you might need to reinstall them there. EDIT: PC World has a guide on this topic here: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2079571/m...ition.html

Great idea, I’ll give it a shot. No need to fear losing anything since I created a new partition from leftover space on my D-Drive, and I can simply merge it back later. Thanks for your support!

It's typical for a 120 GB drive to serve as a boot-up or primary storage device. I wouldn't store many programs there.
