Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing a headache while overclocking this card. It's the MSI model with a standard core clock of 1020mhz. I've used MSI Afterburner and CCC for overclocking, but my performance actually drops in both benchmark tests (3Dmark and Heaven) and actual games.

It doesn't matter if I push it to its stable maximum clock (1200mhz / 1750mhz) or slightly higher, the results are negative.

I've tried older CCC drivers, the latest ones, various OC tools, and even increased the voltage (can't change Vcore directly as it's locked in MSI to +mv, but I've raised it to around 1.242v). Nothing seems to help.

Anyone have any suggestions?

PC Specs:
i5 4690k 3.50ghz OC to 4.50ghz (1.150Vcore)
MSI R9 280X
EVGA 1200W P2
Gigabyte Z97 UD5H-Black Edition

Why??? The 280X is already overclocked... I own the same series card and didn’t think it needed any more effort.
