The Intel 9400F is already locked and can't be overclocked. The Radeon RX 6600, on the other hand, supports overclocking! This guide explains how to boost performance using MSI Afterburner (no special MSI card required). It’s a straightforward tutorial for beginners. AMD details are included at the end.

Neither option encourages overclocking, making this situation unusual. If you plan to push an AMD graphics card beyond its limits, consider using Wattman (included with the driver) or MoreClockTool. If you're working with Wattman, launch AMD Adrenalin, navigate to the performance section, then tuning. Select Manual Tuning Custom to adjust all parameters. Start by setting the power cap to the maximum for RX 6000 series cards, which usually have tight limits. Adjust VRAM settings by changing timings to fast, enabling manual control, and pushing the slider to its highest value (note that AMD restricts memory sliders on many cards, but some models allow full adjustment). Next, fine-tune the core frequency—raise it until stress testing causes instability, then lower it until crashes begin. Test various games to verify stability before concluding. Alternatively, MorePowerTool can temporarily bypass power restrictions for a short boost, though this should be reserved for advanced use cases.
