I moved to MO after trying several saves with NMM. Many people praised MO, so I decided to give it a try. I’ve learned most of its functions but still feel a bit unsure about fixing issues like these. My problems are: - What do they signify? What could be behind them? How can I resolve them? Thanks for your assistance. *If you need more details such as screenshots of the Data folder or .ini files, just let me know and I’ll include them.* #1 "There are files in your overwrite mod – no step-by-step fix" appears in the problems panel. There’s no other explanation in the chat window. #2 This alert when loading into the game and starting a new save – would this happen if SKSE was installed in the Skyrim folder instead of through MO?
Double tapping the overwrite directory will display its contents. Typically, you need to copy items from the overwrite folder into another location, or right-click it and choose "Create Mod" if available. The overwrite folder is quite convenient, even if it doesn’t look that way right now. It’s been a while since I first set up SKSE, so I don’t remember every detail, but SKSE should be installed separately from MO. However, I’d follow the instructions shown in your screenshot. Navigate to your Skyrim folder (where you expected SKSE installation), then go to "data\SKSE" and open SKSE.ini in Notepad. Check for the line: [memory] ScrapHeapSizeMB= XXX DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 and add it if necessary. It’s possible your overwrite folder contains a SKSE file. The -force option (including the minus sign) can be entered into the argument box for the SKSE launcher inside MO when you set up the executable.
