Following the recent update, I can no longer obtain root access. Vi and Synaptic Manager won't open, and I couldn't log in with LightDM. I had to reinstall the Vi recovery command line and GDMA3, but the root problems persist. Before encountering this bug, I was running Xanmod 6.6.16 after updating Ubuntu to 6.7. The issues began even after using the LightDM workaround, and they returned when I went back to version 6.6.16.

To gain access without privileges, start from a maintenance disk, enter your system's environment, adjust or reset the root password, then restart normally. Alternatively, implement a custom sudoers file or group management settings before rebooting.
