I can't take a screenshot directly, but I recommend following those steps carefully. Back up your data on the NAS first, then remove the volume from the NAS and restore the backups. If the drive starts showing issues, consider replacing it to avoid further problems.
Included a screenshot of the degradation. How should I securely store 50 TB on a new 18TB NAS? My current drive is brand new and meant to swap in for Bay 5.
Another NAS offers the best solution. For budget limits, you can install it on multiple computers and extra storage drives. Online options are impractical because of slow connections, and most other media formats (USB keys, DVD, Blu-ray, floppy) are hardly useful. I’m aware of some specialized services that let you rent storage devices, but I don’t know their costs or local availability. Good luck!
Yes, you can still swap out the failed disk. Check the condition of each disk in the pool. Confirm whether a backup exists for this system. If needed, prepare a storage solution to capture all data (ideally from the beginning).
