Hello, based on the title, I'm experiencing problems with AB. First, I use the MSI Gaming App with my R9 270X at 1080Hz and a custom fan speed curve. When I switch to OC Mode at 1120Hz, the fan speed curve reverts to the default settings, even though the fan curve in the settings remains custom. Please verify that the fan speed isn't actually using my custom curve in the overlay. It displays 1120Hz but shows the default speed. I want to be sure I've explained this correctly. If I revert to gaming mode at 1080Hz, the fan curve should return to my custom setting. How can I enable OC Mode with a custom fan curve? Secondly, when recording with MSI AB, the game audio in the recordings sounds low and I can't capture my voice or adjust settings, but it works fine with Fraps—my voice is recorded and the sound is normal. Thank you for your help.

This appears to be an issue. Have you attempted to reinstall Afterburner? Did you ensure your fan curve settings were saved and confirmed it’s active even with default settings? Regarding low game audio, if there’s a way to adjust gain within Afterburner, do that. It could be related to codec configurations.

Well, both MSI Afterburner and MSI Gaming APP were reinstalled but didn’t work as expected. I can’t reach 1120Hz with a custom fan speed curve. Overclocking without the app isn’t allowed—it just won’t let me. I saved a profile at 1080Hz, loaded it, and it still shows 300Hz. I’m unsure what to do next. Edit: Watched a 4K video on YouTube to check performance; the clock spiked to 1080Hz, suggesting the GPU might be handling higher speeds when needed. Hope that’s the situation. Edit2: Tried overclocking to 1120Hz while watching a 4K video; the clock jumped from 300 to 1120 during playback, indicating it should work now. Unlike MSI Gaming APP, the speed fluctuates—ranging from 300 to 450 and then up to 1120 when required.

This is indeed the GPU power management feature.

Sure? Based on my experience with Afterburner (excluding MSI Gaming APP, likely unnecessary bloatware), the core and memory clocks remain consistent throughout. The exception occurs only during unstable overclocking, after which they revert to default. Fan curves aren't responsible for this behavior. The fan maintains a maximum speed of 45% as configured. Only when I disable auto is the situation altered.
