Adjust settings to prioritize CPU over GPU for PhysX. Check if your AMD GPU supports high-performance mode and ensure it's properly configured for CPU acceleration. If needed, use driver updates or software tools to redirect workloads away from the GPU.

You don’t necessarily require an Nvidia GPU since it’s tied to their exclusive software.

Nvidia doesn't support physX on other brand GPUs. For Intel and AMD cards, it's usually best to disable it because it tends to run poorly on CPUs. However, since Mafia 2 is an older title and you're likely seeing high frames, you might want to test it on the CPU.

You can purchase an NVIDIA card, but AMD doesn't support it. The PhysX workload needs to be handled by the CPU instead of relying on a GPU. If you're considering a new GPU, it might be better to upgrade your CPU to handle the tasks, especially since PhysX is limited in the games available. Spending on a mid-to-high-end CPU would be more practical rather than switching to a new GPU for this purpose.
