I recently assembled a custom PC a few months back. Before that, I used an outdated 2015/2017 iMac. Now it’s functioning as a home NAS. I can reach my shared folder on the iMac from my PC over the network. But I’d like my NAS to behave more like Google Drive—accessible anywhere anytime without needing to be on the same network. Is there a method to achieve this? Does TrusNAS support this feature? I’m still trying to grasp what it means since I set it up without extra software.

To reach your NAS from outside your house, you can configure a VPN.
