I recently received an old Cherry Reuters keyboard with Cherry MX clears. I'm working on restoring it and figuring out how to use it. After cleaning the keycaps and case, I'm trying to determine if it's USB compatible or if I need a converter. I reached out to the community for advice. Do you think this requires just an adapter, or should I get a PS2-to-USB converter? Also, while cleaning the PCB, I noticed the switches had 7 pins instead of the usual 5 or 3. Was it common for Cherry to use 7-pin switches back then? Please help me out!

This keyboard lacks a Windows key, meaning it's from an earlier Windows version, and you'll need a conversion tool to use it.

The connections are likely secured using solder.

I understand, though typically soldered switches feature 2 metal contacts along with 1 to 3 plastic contacts rather than 4 metal and 3 plastic.

Sure, I can help with that. What do you need the converter for?
