You're considering a 64-bit x64 option despite Ryzen being marketed as 64-bit. It's fine to explore it—just make sure your system meets all requirements for stability and performance.

Choose x64. X86 is a 32-bit architecture.

It works well because 64-bit applications support 32-bit ones, yet vice versa doesn't.

depends on your memory capacity; with 3GB or less, a 32-bit OS runs faster than a 64-bit one since it uses less RAM. For more than 3GB, opt for a 64-bit OS.

Currently, most systems lack significant RAM, and adding more than 4GB isn't feasible with 32-bit architectures.

To clarify, there are two choices: x86 (32-bit) and x86_64 (64-bit). The latter is simply a larger version of the former. Updated October 22, 2017 by Guest x86 x64 → x86_64

32bit can work with as little as 3.2GB of RAM, which is why I mentioned 3GB or less equals 32bit. For 4GB or more, I’d suggest going to 64bit instead.
