I recently purchased a Seasonic CORE-GM-650 to swap in for the xpg probe 600, and this marks my initial experience working with a modular PSU.

The PSU includes two harnesses for SATA devices adding up to six. There is also a harness for three molex devices, which seems to be the intended configuration from the image. Yes, this is the correct way to connect the harnesses at the modular end of that PSU.

The three 6pin connectors on the PSU's end are intended for SATA devices or any other equipment requiring a 4pin Molex connection.

I have 5xhdds. I'm thinking about adding another hdd soon and might use a molex to sata cable for a fan hub controller. The package includes 2 sate cables, 1 pci-e cable, and 1 molex cable.

This cable fits inside. You may use either SATA cable or molex cable, depending on your requirements.

The socket setups are labeled uniquely.
They must align in a single orientation.
Examine the layout of rectangular openings and rounded tops, and their placement.
Avoid applying pressure.
