I recently purchased a 13" plastic MacBook from late 2007 at a flea market. Everything seemed fine, so I decided to perform a factory reset to get a new Mac. However, I accidentally deleted the operating system and now find myself in recovery mode without being able to download it. I’m unsure what the original Apple ID is for the installation, which causes errors. I attempted to create both USB and DVD bootable OSes, but they just bring me back to the same utility. I’m struggling and would really appreciate some guidance. Also, internet recovery doesn’t seem to work on my old MacBook Pro.

I understand you're dealing with a backup OS setup. The installation media includes Dmg and files, but I'm not sure how to use it for installation. If you have any details or specific questions about the process, let me know!

It seems the instructions are unclear about the recovery process. Are you trying to reinstall the operating system from recovery mode? If so, the best choice might be visiting an Apple Store for assistance. Alternatively, you could ask a friend with a Mac for help. Do you have an Apple ID?
