It needs to function properly. I tried it two days ago and it performed well. Consider checking another resource.

Steam has made many changes recently, and I can't recall how many games I had to reinstall. It seems Steam thinks the game isn't there even when it is, and small file changes trigger reinstalls. Living in Europe with a broadband that always offers unlimited data is great—last month's router stats showed 800 GB used. Having a 10MB/s connection feels risky for my HDD.
